It is my hope that the Commissioner of the Revenue's Office will be a resource for local businesses.  As such, it is important to stay engaged with local business groups.  I had the opportunity to sit in on the Minority Business Council's monthly meeting today in the beautiful, newly redeveloped Jefferson School City Center.  Thanks to the Council members and Chamber Liaison, Andrea Copeland for allowing me to sit in.

Just returned home from a meet & greet for Senator Mark Herring.  Thanks to Tara de Cardenas for opening her home and hosting with Delegate David Toscano.

For the second year in a row, I was able to attend the Ghana Association of Charlottesville's celebration of Ghana's Independence.  It was back at the Tonsler Recreation Center again this year.  Good food.  Good music.  Congrats to the G-Club, and thanks for their hospitality!

Really engaging presentation from Sean Tubbs of Charlottesville Tomorrow at yesterday's monthly Democratic Breakfast (http://cvilledems.org/uncategorized/democratic-breakfast-mar-9).

Some photos taken at my campaign announcement last week.  The weather was terrible.  Big shout out to Kirby Hutto for letting us seek shelter under the Pavilion!
